Wider door cable load
A wider door puts more load on each lift cable, and that load runs through a drum at the top of the torsion shaft rather than the simpler pulley setups you'd find on an older extension-spring door. When a cable frays on one of these, it usually frays unevenly - one side gives before the other, and the door racks sideways in the track instead of dropping straight.
